World Music? No, Africana!

Though it's a world we are proud to belong in, we've never really loved the terminology. Because, what does it mean? World Music... What does it describe? Is it just EVERYTHING outside of the mainstream music business that is not jazz, blues, folk... or... Is it the mixing of traditional and modern expressions? Or is it traditional songs sung in untraditional settings? We don't know, and we don't think the world knows, either. So, we decided to create a more specific genre - one that describes us and our music more accurately. Queendom is Afropean, and our music is Africana. #thisisus
